Louis Vuitton “Monogram Canvas Galliera PM”

You definitely won’t be hearing me say “enough with the LV monogram already”. No matter how many monogram bags I’ve got, or how many of them I see on a daily basis, I will never get fed up by it. I fell in love with it a long time ago and there is nothing that could change this. It’s a love or hate thing when it comes to Louis Vuitton and the monogram, there is no middle ground. If you love it, everything boils down to whether you like the shape, the color or some other feature of the latest monogram piece. If you can’t stand it, there is no chance in hell you’d buy it no matter how nice the shape is or how beautiful it would look if it didn’t have the logo all over it. I respect everyone’s personal preferences and tastes. If you don’t like it you don’t like it, I don’t have to hear about it every day. I love it, and I’m perfectly happy whenever I see a new beauty with those two letters all over it. Call me a snob, call me whatever you want, but I love LV.

The shape and the shape only. Admit it, the shape is totally disarming. It can carry almost any detail imaginable, it’s absolutely and genuinely beautiful. I also have to single out is the shoulder strap which is very well proportioned and in perfect harmony with the size and the shape of the bag. The key details of this line are the leather pipings and a golden logo plate on front. Open top, closed with a magnetic snap closure, reveals fine microfiber lined interior with a snap and a cell phone pocket. Even if you can’t stand the monogram, you have to admit this one is absolutely delicious. Can anyone not like it? Feel free to leave a comment if you don’t.

bagtrends for fashion women

The fashion conscious women of today wants more than an ordinary satchel to carry all the items that are necessary for their every day excursions. With the development of relica designer handbags she is now able to afford a bag per season.

There are a variety of sizes and shapes with each performing a specific function. When you need to carry along many of your belongings tote bags and shoppers are the wise choice because they have a larger capacity which makes them more functional. Usually they have long strap handles which makes them available as shoulder bags.
Satchels are usually short handled bags, a true HANDBAG.

They come in a variety of styles to match any decor from jeans to business outfit and even evening affairs. Take them anywhere and they will become the work horse of your handbag wardrobe. Many Satchels have delightful exterior trappings like outside pockets and appliques.

Whatever style you choose look for zippered interior pockets and cell phone pockets or pouches. to be in style choose light colors for Spring and Summer and the darker colors for Fall and Winter. It isn’t necessary to match your outfit unless you are walking the fashion catwalk. Choose for function and style and enjoy.

Shoes Fashion in 2009

Winters As far as the winters of 2009 are concerned, boots are all set to make a comeback. The length will be above the knee and the material - both leather and suede. You can wear them over slim pants, tights as well as with short skirts and dresses. On the other extreme, shoe boots or ankle boots will be making their debut. Lace-up shoes and boots are surely going to be popular in the coming year. However, you will have to move over the granny boots of yesteryears. Rather, the sleek and highly fashion lace-up, with high heels and finishes like leather, is what will make a style statement in 2009. The colors will be bright and vivid, to make up for the dark winter clothes. The high-heeled Mary Jane shoes will continue into the coming year as well. However, this time, there will be a twist involved in the shoes. It will be a sort of mix between 'school girl shoes' and 'vamp shoes', with lots of buckles and really high heels thrown in-between. Variations will include bright colors, luxe fabrics and sharply pointed toes. Cut-out boots are there to woo you in 2009, in winters as well as in early summers. Designers have made the shoes last longer than the freezing winters by opting for open-toes, cut-away sides and even cut-out heels. What are you waiting for? Go ahead and buy high cut shoes that will last a number of months. Fringed boots will define the winter look in 2009. The height will be limited to ankle, with details like studs and tooled leather adding to the bohemian feel. You can go for short fringed ankle-boots, in leather or suede, with short dresses or tights. Be it a party wear or a casual dress, these shoes go with one and all.
Summers Stilettos are surely going to make a comeback in 2009. They will be dominating the ramps as well as the roads once again. However, this year stilettos will also see a variation, in the form of a combination of the high, pencil heels at the back and a hidden platform in the front part of the shoe. Remember, the higher the stilettos, the better they look. The gladiator sandals are going to be hot in 2009. Greco-Roman footwear is all set to be sported on almost every second foot in the coming year. Heavily strapped and heeled versions of sandals will surely be a hit amongst the hot girls! Platform sandals will also form a part of the shoe trend in 2009. There will be two types of platform sandals, one will have a platform heel through and through and other will have platforms on the front side of the sandal, with heel either being thin or tapered or block. Prints and Colors In 2009, animal prints will surely rule the roost. Boots in fake snakeskin and crocodile skin shoes, worn in combination with wide leg pants and skirts, will be the 'in' style. However, make sure that you avoid gaudy and cheap-looking boots. The leather look is all about quality. The coming year is going to witness 'flower power' being evident on shoes. Your sandals will have floral themes, in prints, appliqués and even embellishments. Whether you go for subtle floral designs or go extreme with the look will entirely be your choice. Talking about shoe colors, bright, hot and vivid are the keywords for 2009. Move over blacks and browns and welcome the hot hues of red, orange and yellow into your shoe-rack. Just make sure to pair these colors with skin-friendlier shades, like blue and white. Pink is also going to be popular this season. Shoes in a single color seem to be boring, don't they? If you are also of the same opinion, then it is the time to rejoice. The coming year will see two-toned as well as multiple color shoes making a style statement. As for the colors themselves, anything and everything will work, right from bold and bright shades like red to classic shades of grey and black. Heels Thin, pencil heels are there to stay in 2009 as well. They look extremely sexy and can add oodles of 'oomph' to any and every outfit. Though you will not get any comfort, there will be envious glances from other females and admiring looks from all the males in your vicinity. On one extreme, stilettos will be making heads turn in 2009. On the other, thick and chunky heels will be seen ruling the ramps. Yes, platforms will not be vanishing in the coming year. So, you can assure your feet some more months of comfort. 2009 will see the entry of tapered heels on the fashion circuit. They are thick at the top and slim down as they reach the ground. These heels often taper down, with a curve, into a stiletto-esque point at the bottom. They look pretty sexy and can spice up dull outfits as well. Wedge heels and ballet flats are there to stay around in the coming year. The wedges will be reaching even greater heights, while flats will provide you with the much-needed break from the stilettos. Ballet flats will be seen in a variety of new colors and fabrics, including satin. Toe-Shapes Squared-off toes gained much popularity in 2008 and the trend is going to stretch into 2009 as well. However, the fully squared toe has been given a miss. Rather, the coming year will see a deluge of the new squared-off shape, which is tapered in toe with a short blunt nose. Pointed toe is back in fashion once again. And…this time, it is the razor-sharp pointy toes that are going to become a hit. What with stilettos making a comeback, it will be only justified that pointed toe becomes the fashion mantra.

Miu Miu handbags

No film promotion is complete without a visit to MTV’s TRL (how very late ’90s), so the crowd got a taste of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 this week when Blake Lively and the rest of the ladies stopped by. Blake was absolutely sizzling in an adorable Missoni-esque romper. She polished the look with a chunky statement necklace and her hefty, fabulous Miu Miu Shine Bicolour Bowler, a hot bag destined to be one of the season’s most coveted carryalls. Though available in a number of color combinations, Blake’s ultra-neutral version is an apt choice if you’re looking to maximize its potential. You can grab a grey and black version for $1280 at Saks. Although given the choice, I’d take those killer legs over the bag!

Designer Prada shoes

Prada shoes began almost 100 years ago. Along with the shoes came handbags and luggage. It was 1913 and Mario Prada was just getting started. His concentration in his designs was leather. He wanted sturdy, practical pieces with an air of luxury.

So far, his plan has worked. If you say you're wearing Prada shoes, you can almost bet you'll be the envy of everyone within earshot. Designer shoes may not even be their thing, but Prada is so well-known, even the most unfashionable ears stand at attention at the mere mention of the word. The designs have made their way through the decades and around the world. They've changed with time and fashion trends but the quality has never wavered.

A Special Valentine Gift

We've mentioned the fetish and bondage clothing trend that swept through the Spring/Summer 2009 runways. Though there are subtle ways to wear this trend, Victoria Beckham is never one to be any less than daring when it comes to fashion. Her super-high, dangerously-spiked Christian Louboutin for Rodarte heels are no exception, with a definite fetish-shoe inspiration.

the fashion in bagtrends

In her book How to Tell a Woman by Her Handbag, author Kathy Eisman says, “…it’s clear our handbags and their contents say much more about our personality than we might think. While you can’t judge a book by its cover, I’d suggest taking a closer look at your friends, family and colleagues handbags – one quick squiz might help you unlock and understand the secrets of their personality."

The styles and colors we choose give away a lot about our purse-onality type. From clutches to totes and cigar boxes to backpacks – give some extra thought to what you carry by finding out what each style typically represents and what your handbag says about you.
The Shoulder Bag

* Women who wear shoulder bags are practical but also want to look good. According to Stephanie Pedersen in her book Handbags – What Every Woman Should Know (David & Charles 2006), “women who prefer shoulder bags refuse to be a fashion victim.”

The Tote Bag

* Fun loving, generous and sociable are the main traits of someone who carries a tote. The wearer is youthful in outlook, with things to do and places to go, says Pedersen. This is someone with a busy life, refined, unobtrusive but definitely not passive.

The Clutch Bag

* Women who carry a clutch bag are confident enough not to worry about carrying their whole life in their bag. Says Pendersen, they are not afraid to let a man carry their keys or lighter or whatever else won’t fit in their bag.

Under the Shoulder Bag

* A small handbag tucked neatly under-the-shoulder implies sophistication and class, according to Cathy Feldman, contributing editor to designerhandbags101.com. According to Feldman, “women of high stature or who work in upscale offices would choose this style of bag.”

The Cigar Box

* Currently a big seasonal favorite, cigar box purses are often carried by women who like to stand out in a crowd. Independent and self-confident, women who carry these bags are, says Feldman, “comfortable in their own skin.”

The Backpack

* Casual and practical, the backpack represents wearers who are warm and young at heart. Today’s designer styles means that backpacks are no longer relegated to the countryside but are just as at home in the office, worn with business trousers or a skirt.

Bags With Buckles and Zips

* Women who choose leather purses with lots of buckles and zippers are leashing out their wild sides. According to Feldman, these women tend to act before they think and are always ready for a good time. The extra buckles and zippers tend to signify a “bad girl" image.

The Crochet Bag

* A homely, nurturing woman typically carries a crochet bag. Loved by both people and animals this woman is easy-going with an arty streak.

The Designer Purse

* A woman carrying the latest designer 'It' bag lives an exclusive, high-maintenance lifestyle and their designer handbag is a reflection of expensive tastes and appreciation for very, very fine things. Feldman warns “guys – watch out for these girls, they tend to be a handful.”

Oversized Bags

* According to armcandyonline.com in their feature “What Your Handbag Says About You”, the oversized handbag is the equivalent of a one-size-fits-all T-shirt. The wearer is a practical person who rarely swaps bags and does not see the sense in spending a month's salary on one accessory.

Women’s handbags are a microcosm of our lives. If the choice of handbag tells a lot about the kind of person we are, then in How to Tell a Woman by Her Handbag, author Kathryn Eisman also goes on to categorize women into four main purse-onality types, dependant on the contents of their bags.

If men want to learn a woman’s innermost secrets they should forget looking into her eyes, but take a look inside her handbag instead!

Chanel classic 2.55

Coco Chanel wasn't just a fashion designer - she was the very first fashion icon. The French born designer's famous jersey-and-tweed suits closed the gap between male and female clothing and created a fashion that offered women both comfort and haute couture style. In a time when inequality ran rampant, Chanel took the reigns of feminism by the designer skirt hem by doing away with rigid corsets and cinched waists, in favor of pants and suit jackets for women - emerging as a pioneer for women's fashion and women's rights.

Born in 1883, Chanel was raised in a French orphanage. In 1912, she was backed by a wealthy aristocrat, Arthur Capel, who funded her first hat shop. Even during the Great Depression of the 1920's, Chanel's designs grew - thanks to word of mouth. Even though this was a time of tightened purse strings many people still found they could afford a $700 Chanel designer suit, from one of her Paris or Biarritz boutiques. After inventing Chanel No. 5 perfume, Chanel's name was on everyone's lips, so much so that director Samuel Goldwin commissioned her to dress the stars of his films, including Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor.

In 1940, Chanel was forced to close her boutiques and turned to nursing during WWI. When she got romantically involved with a Nazi officer and fled to Switzerland, Chanel was exiled for fifteen years from her beloved Paris, only to return to fashion in the 1950s, when she caught the appreciative gaze of American Hollywood.

Coco Chanel died in 1971, leaving her moniker in the hands of Karl Lagerfeld, who still uses the Chanel name and traditional style philosophy.

Christian Louboutin shoes

Christian Louboutin, once a worker at the Museum of Oceanic Art in France, has gained fame and fortune with his notable shoe creations. As a hobby, Louboutin would draw shoes with compressed buckles and soles. As a teenager, Louboutin spent the majority of his time sketching designs in his school notebooks. Encouraged to become an independent designer, Louboutin began attending parties and dance halls in Paris, offering his shoes to women attendees. Surprisingly, most rejected his offers, claiming to have no money. To gain more constructing experience, Louboutin enrolled in the designing schools of Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Soon, Louboutin caught the eye of many high-end fashionistas, opening his first boutique in 2007. Christian Louboutin shoes are most prominent for their trademark crimson soles - attracting celebrities such as Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, and Kylie Minogue. Louboutin's line is available at most Saks, Nordstrom, Barney's, and Neiman Marcus stores. Full collections are available at Christian Louboutin boutiques.

classcial Chanel bags

I was going to write the title "classcial Chanel bags" but then I realised that these classical bags must have a name so I went onto the Chanel site and found out that the classical Chanels are actually called the Chanel flap bags. While the Chanel flap bags are always considered very classical, I always thought they were meant for women who are middle-aged, say over thirty years old? Or at least over 25.

Young celebs everywhere are proving my belief wrong. Here are a few lucky girls who have been spotted holding the Chanel flap bags recently:

Ashley Olsen
Mischa Barton -When I think of her, Miss Sixty jeans with a Chanel flap bag automatically spring in mind.
